Vacation!

Zac, Kristen, Travis, Me, Ryan, Beth, Kelsi, Kyle, and Briar all went on this vacation to go to Beaver lake and St. Louis.

Day 1:

We left at like 7 in the morning on Saturday. We decided we had better pack our bags and junk the night before because none of us would have felt like it the next morning. Grogginess and a lack of sleep makes for one grumpy Trevor. We had 2 full cars of tents, sleeping bags, our own suitcases, chairs, a cooler, and other stuff. We had to prepare for our Beaver Lake adventure and then St. Louis.

We had about a 4 hour drive to Beaver, and along the way it rained off and on. Once we got there, we had to put our tents up in the 5x10 foot space the camping people had given to us. How generous. =)

We put our tents up and then it begin to pour. Our tents cover for the top didn't work so well, so we had to get all of our stuff back out of the tent and put it in the vehicle so it wouldn't get soaked. We went ahead and walked about a mile or so to my friend's exceedingly rich g-parents house to prepare for swimming and junk. We were already soaked because we walked in the rain, so it was like we already went swimming, but the lake was actually pretty warm so swimming in it was a little bit better. There was also a trampoline in the water that floated so that was pretty cool.

We all went tubing that day.

I watched Kelsi and Zac tube for a bit and then it was Ryan and I's turn. It was his first time. We fell off a few times, but I think the driver was taking it extra hard on us. ;)

Once Ryan finished off, it was Beth and I's turn. We were on there for just a few minutes when for some reason she let go. I had no idea why. Next thing I know, i'm laying in the water with a sore leg and the boat stopped asking me if I was okay. I looked behind me and saw 3 tree branches sticking out of the water. Apparently Beth saw the trees, and I didn't. One of the branches hit my legs as we traveled through it and knocked me off the tube. The people on the boat thought it hit my face and I was dead. But luckily god protected me. =) I got out of the water with just a bruised leg and it was fine a couple days later.

We headed back home after a few hours and our tent had puddles in it. we decided to leave and find a restaurant to eat at. We found this little place and we ate there. We also found this place that sold cheap clothes, so we went there to find towels for our tent. We got there and they had like 1980's clothes to todays stuff. We found several cotten shirts that we bought because there were no towels. We bought them after my friends finished gambling away their quarters on the machine.

we got to the tent, cleaned it up, and I went to bed at like 10, i was a tired little fella.

Day 2: (4th of july)

We woke up and ate breakfast made over the fire. Sausages and junk. It was pretty good. We all got ready and headed back to the lake to swim. The clouds were still pretty thick, but they were breaking up. We all went swimming and then had the opportunity to get in the boat and go tubing. We did this.

We tubed for a bit, but then beth just drove us around the lake. The clouds had pretty much left, and i had no sunscreen. I got the worst full body sunburn ever.

A few hours of that, we went back to our campsite. Our plans had changed. Instead of staying there that night, we decided to head to St. Louis in order to get enough sleep for Warped tour the next morning. We booked a hotel and got there at 2 in the morning. The ride there was okay. It was the 4th, and so lots of fireworks were going off on the ride, which made it interesting. Beth and kelsi got in the front seats while beth drove. They were hyped up on energy drinks and were singing and dancing. Luckily, I was too tired to be concerned for my safety. =)

Day 3:

When we woke up from the hotel we got in line for warped tour 2 hours early. After producing a gallon of sweat and sticky thighs, we found out we were in the wrong line just a few minutes before gates open, so we did what any music loving american would do. we cut in in line.

We walked around, and then the music started, and Kelsi and I watched Artist Vs Poet and Anarbor. Travis and Briar then caught up to us to watch them with us. After spending probably 30 bucks on water and producing more sweat than i ever have before, seeing hundreds of half naked people, the concert of over. I saw: Artist vs poet, anarbor, i see stars, breathe electric, breathe carolina, the summer set, of mice and men, and a few others.

We got back to our hotel and went swimming and junk.

Day 4:

We woke up and went to the City museum after passing the arch. It was lots of fun. There are caves, tunnels, a 10 story slide(which gets boring halfway through), a giant hamster wheel, and tons of other things.

we were there for a few hours and then went to the hotel. We ate at Imo's pizza for supper, then played pop pong at the hotel with everyone. We were all pretty much exhausted at this point.

At about 10 that night, the guys were all hungy. We decided to ditch the girls to go to Hooters. Once we got in the car, we decided Applebees would be better. We got there and ordered our food. We had an awesome waitress who was very sarcastic and we left her a huge tip. The girls found out we left and started calling us. we all started ignoring them. I called kristen back and she cussed me out.

We got back to the hotel and we all apologized after travis had told them they could have ate sandwiches. It was funny, but not the appropriate time to say this.

Day 5:

The girls had all forgiven us and we headed back home. It was rainy and junk but we made it home by about 6 that night. We stopped at Subway for lunch.
