I think all I write on this is about my dates...
After several minutes of searching for the perfect spot to stargaze, I finally decided to go to my step dads house. I had premade some hot chocolate in a thermos and I kept feeling it along the way to be sure it was still hot, because who wants to drink cold chocolate? Not I...
My step dad lives in the middle of nowhere, so we set out for his house. As I pulled up, Shadow was there to greet us. He's my awesome dog. As we worked our way into his house, I had to give her a tour of the place. I mean, I lived there for a good 4 years. I showed her my old bedrooms and some artwork and thats about it.
We got out of the house and headed to my car and grabbed the sleeping bag and blanket and set for the edge of the yard. We made a bed on the ground and lied down slurping down our hot chocolate with 18 dozen marshmallows. My dog wouldn't leave us alone. He kept loving on us and after his drool kept getting on the blanket and stuff, I decided I had to get rid of him. So, Megan and I marched back to the house and put him up.
As we got settled back on the sleeping bag, we lied down and covered up and stared at the stars. We kept seeing these floaty star things which I have no idea what they were. I remember asking her "What are those things?" No sounds, no blinky lights, or anything like and airplane... Maybe a satellite? not sure.
As we shared some conversation, I finally got the courage to grab her hand. =)
I saw a couple of shooting stars, and when I yelled at Megan to see if she saw it, she was like, "What!? No, you're lying!" and so I had to convince her I saw them.
We were in the middle of some conversation when all of a sudden some bright light flashed across the sky leaving the faint mark of a tail where a shooting star had once been. I quit talking sat up and was like, "Did you see that!?" and of course she did, I mean, you had to be blind to miss that one!
I was so excited after seeing that shooting star just because it pretty much ended our evening with perfection. I was holding her hand and we were comfy under the blankets after sipping our chocolate, with some good conversation, and then that shooting star that she has never seen.
It was by far my favorite date.
